Dos Mazda RX-8 fueron los primeros coches en el mundo ya despachados a dos empresas japonesas. Los mencionados autos tienen motor rotativo dual bi-fuel, hidrogeno o gasolina a gusto del conductor. Las empresas una de Tokio y otra de Osaka, incorporarán los RX-8 como parte del programa de prueba de hidrogeno y celdas de energía que realizan conjuntamente con Mazda.
