Jamie Whincup ganó la primer carrera del campeonato y de su cosecha personal en el circuito callejero de Adelaide, habiendo terminado tercero en la primera serie. En la segunda carrera, se mantuvo al margen del accidente que envolvió a 5 autos. Con esta carrera, queda demostrado porqué hoy por hoy los V8 Supercars es la categoría de turismos más importante del mundo.
